CarDealer Service Disclosure

This page explains CarDealer’s role, what customers can expect, and which parts of a transaction are handled by independent dealerships or buyers.

CarDealer is a brokerage and connection service

CarDealer collects vehicle-related requests and connects customers with independent dealerships, buyers, or sellers. CarDealer is not the buyer or seller in every transaction and does not take title to every vehicle submitted through the website.

Seller requests

After a seller submits accurate vehicle and contact information, our team checks participating dealers and buyers for interest. We generally aim to provide a competitive offer or status update within one to two business days. Response times may vary, and submitting a request does not guarantee an offer.

Any offer may be conditioned on verification of the vehicle’s identity, mileage, equipment, ownership, title, lien status, history, and physical or mechanical condition. If submitted information is inaccurate or the vehicle’s condition differs materially, the participating buyer may revise or withdraw its offer.

Pickup, paperwork, and payment

The independent dealership or buyer completing the transaction is responsible for pickup, inspection, paperwork, title or payoff coordination, and payment. The customer should review and accept that party’s written terms before transferring a vehicle or title. Timing and payment method are confirmed for each transaction and may depend on title, lien, identity, and vehicle verification.

Find Me a Car

Find Me a Car is a sourcing and concierge request service, not a representation that a particular vehicle is currently in CarDealer inventory. Our team uses the customer’s stated preferences to look for possible matches through independent dealerships and sellers. Vehicle availability, pricing, taxes, registration, financing, warranties, inspections, transportation, and delivery are determined by the participating provider and the final transaction documents.

Service area

CarDealer currently accepts requests for California and Arizona. Availability varies by location, vehicle, and participating dealer or buyer. We may expand to other states after updating the applicable service and compliance processes.

No guaranteed outcome

CarDealer does not guarantee that a customer will receive an offer, obtain a specific price, find a particular vehicle, qualify for financing, or complete a transaction. Objective statements about timing, price, savings, vehicle condition, or availability should be confirmed in the final written terms from the participating dealership or buyer.
